Electronic Classroom Furniture Systems manufactures its products from two basic components.  Steel (bases and accessories) and high-pressure laminate (tops).

Steel Manufacturing:

The material used is approximately 90% recycled steel manufactured in Garland, TX.

Raw steel is procured solely from domestic sources.

We have extensive capabilities with regard to process and material certification.

If your project requires this type of certification, we can make those arrangements.

(Please be aware, this can result in substantial additional cost.)

Steel Powder Coating:

Our paint line eco-effort is exemplary.  We undergo monthly city inspections and annual inspections by the EPA with regard to factory emissions, routinely passing with results substantially below the allowed emissions level.  

We achieve this through our reclamation efforts on the paint line.  Where other manufacturers let their excess paint “fall or exhaust”,  we reclaim and recycle during the paint process.  This not only has the obvious Green effect on emissions but allows us to pass on the cost savings to our customers.

High Pressure Laminate Tops:

Is Laminate "green". Can projects receive LEED credit for using it? JUST TAKE A LOOK!

The LEED Rating system sections that are applicable are the Materials & Resources; Recycled Content (MR Credit 4), Local/Regional Materials (MR Credit 5), Certified Wood (MR Credit 7), Indoor Environmental Quality; and Low-Emitting Materials (EQ Credit 4.1 and 4.4)

Our products are designed for long life and multiple redeployments.
